Baby Wipes
Solution One
To get the best results from this recipe you will need to use a quality brand of paper towel. A cheaper paper towel will provide unsatisfactory results.
½ Roll of strong and thick quality paper towel
2 cups of water
3 tablespoons of baby oil
An old baby wipe container.
Mix all liquid ingredients in the container. Cut the roll of paper towels in half with a very sharp knife or electic knife. Add half a roll of paper towels in the container of solution. Place the lid on the container and let it set for about 10 minutes, flip the container over for another 10-15 minutes to ensure the paper towels have asborbed the solution, it is important to ensure the solution has soaked through all of the paper towels. When all of the ingredients have absorbed, open the container and stand the paper towels on end with the jagged side that was cut down. Pull the brown paper out of the middle, so that you can pull the wipes through the center. Then you just pull the wipes as needed. They tear apart very easily and make nappy changing simple. Solution Two
Use small baby face washers available in the supermarket baby isles for less than $5.00. You can purchase cheap towelling from any fabric store and sew your own reusable wipes. Please note it is important to ensure you thoroughly wash and sanitise reusable fabric wipes. Homebrand Chux wipes work just as well with a few drops of essential oils like lavender.
