How to reach new customers

How to reach new customers

Moving to Australia from Europe at an age where you don’t think of wanting to go back to school or university, my dilemma was what would I do for a living in Australia, my new home.  Leaving my career as an insurance consultant in Germany, I started to focus on starting my own business in Australia.

I studied many business ideas and models, researching and researching… we decided to import household goods. OK, it is not a groundbreaking idea but it was what we were able to do at that time. I found importing these goods interesting at that time. They weren’t your usual household kitchen goods, more your new design idea kind of stuff. I had the issue, how to reach retailers Australia wide? I became frustrated finding proper avenues to sell my goods online and reaching retailers Australia wide easily without breaking the bank balance at this early state of the start up. I had to find ways how to reach new customers and distribute my products Australia wide easier.

Internet, I was looking for websites where as an Importer I could list and sell my products to retailers and I couldn’t find any proper B2B (business to business) online marketplaces portals. All I could find was business directories, but I couldn’t actually advertise my physical product on it.  Having this problem I found a niche, which I had to fill and www.wholesale4u.com.au was born.

Starting your own business can be very interesting, character building, empowering and at the same time rewarding. I’ve had many good times and faced many challenges but one thing I can say is: “business is really character building”. You are pushed to your limits and you discover things about yourself, you probably never knew they existed. You learn by doing, every day, you never stop learning and discovering new things. This is what I really love about running your own business.

I would like to empower every woman who has dreams, to see your dreams through, follow your dream and don’t get discouraged. Believe in your self and your product, service and yourself just do it! With Wholesale4u I still have many targets and dreams to fulfill, but nothing happens overnight. One step after another and a lot of hard, hard work still needs to be done.
