• Are the products competitively priced, it will be harder to sell a product range priced above the competition with out a point of differentiation?

Questions you could ask the party plan business.

• Are there any monthly purchase requirements?  If the party planner requires you to purchase a certain amount each month, think twice about the opportunity at hand.
• Does the business implement an effective marketing and promotional campagin? Do they provide their hostesses with promotional material, brochures, stands and so forth? It is difficult to succeed if the initial business doesn’t provide the necessary resources and backing to support their product.
• Is there any kind of training and support provided? In some circumstances it is easier to sell a companies products if they take the time to educate the hostess on the best methods and strategies to sell their products.
• How will you be remunerated? An important question, you need to understand how and when will you be compensated for the sales you make.
