Sonia anticipated when she entered motherhood she would find it difficult to return to the workforce, to her role as an accountant. She was more than aware she would need to supplement the family income in order to fund her stay at home status. In 2000, Sonia started, Sublime Photography, specialising in wedding photography. Over the course of the following five years Sonia successfully grew Sublime Photography, including three fully booked seasons.

Sonia found budding Mum entrepreneurs would often asked her the same inquisitive questions, all wanting to know and understand, “how they too could start a small business” and “how they could come up with an idea for their own small business”.  Ultimately Sonia decided to impart the secrets to her success, her expert knowledge, tips and tricks to successfully starting a business in her best seller Show Mummy the Money.

Show Mummy the Money has gained significant media attention, testament to the fact Sonia has hit a real nerve in the market of mums who desire to stay at home, and still have the means to contribute financially by starting their own business. Show Mummy the Money has appeared on all three prime  TV channels—Ten, Nine and Seven—as well as featuring in articles throughout well-known national magazines such as The Women’s Weekly, New Idea, Cleo and various parenting magazines.
